A Bounty Hunter Metal Detector Will Yield Tons Of Fun
Metal detecting enthusiasts everywhere dream of finding that big cache one day. Hearing those familiar beeps that yield a bounty that will pay for the actual detector and more are the stuff that fantasies are made of. No one who has read any of the Western and Eastern Treasures magazines hasn’t fantasized of the big find. But to find it, you need to be prepared. To find that treasure, one needs a Bounty Hunter metal detector that will probe deep enough, have coils wide enough and be affordable.
The Bounty Hunter metal detector needs to be as light weight as possible as you’re going to spend hours meticulously going over the selected area. Use your headphones so that you don’t disturb those who might be around you and also so that you don’t alert others to your find. You’re going to have to find a good place to hunt and have all the right tools ready for your digs. Don’t worry that a place might have already been searched. You don’t know what kind of machine that they might have used or how thorough they were when the others did it the first time. Just go for it anyway.
When bounty hunting, the most important thing to do is secure permission from the owner of the property. Unless you want to be picked up for trespassing or end up having to give up anything you might find to the owner, have a written permission slip from the owner of the land. Second, spend some time researching the various places you’re interested in hunting. Know what used to be in that spot so you can concentrate your search on certain areas. Try using different sized coils in your search to weed out trash and to increase your depth. Don’ t have preconceived ideas about what you’re going to find as coins are not the only things of value.
Keep in mind, most people who go treasure hunting or searching for the big bounty aren’t going to find it. It’s more likely that you will find smaller, less valuable items that over time will add up to some substantial earnings. For that reason, it’s a good idea to pick an affordable model of metal detector or even a used model as you don’t want to invest too much money into a hobby that in all likelihood will yield more fun than money.<br/>
I have used both more and less expensive detectors than the Bounty Hunter line and I find that my Bounty Hunter will do almost everything that I want it to. It is lightweight and easy to use and I appreciate the dials, switches and meters over the more expensive LCD digital readouts. The LCDs have a place and are great when doing certain types of treasure hunting, but I like to dig almost every target and I find that a simple meter and tone are more than sufficient.

I own a Bounty Hunter and a Garrett Ace 250. The Garrett has all the bells and whistles, but the Bounty Hunter is much easier to use.
